Graduating in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, I started my wellness career as the Service Manager of a multidisciplinary community mental health charity. I was responsible for managing the service, and a team of staff from across a wide range of disciplines, including mental health nurses, support workers, and complementary therapists.
What struck me most was the difference that clients felt after their holistic treatments. The seed was planted.
During that time I trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Life Coach and NLP practitioner, again astonished at the shifts I witnessed in clients as they released old patterns of behaviour.
The world of mental health services was exhausting and, in 2003-2004 I took the opportunity to fulfill a life's dream and travel solo, I visited 15 countries over 18 months, a had the privilege of spending time in some of the most remote and relatively untouched communities - places where hands on therapy and ritual, ceremonial practices were a part of daily culture, knowledge and wisdom passed down from generation to generation through the maternal lineage.
The fire within me had been lit and over the course of the next few years, I began to grow my offerings.
As my interest grew, and my own healing journey continued I added:
Anatomy & Physiology
Swedish Massage
Reflexology
Indian Head Massage
Aromatherapy
Crystal Healing
Ear Candling
Reiki
But the real shift in me (and of course reflected through the business) was yet to come:
Pregnancy, birth and motherhood.
It made perfect sense that I'd take a holistic approach to these sacred rites of passage, enjoying pregnancy massage, pregnancy yoga, hypnobirthing, pregnancy holistic therapies for myself, relishing in the sacred rites of pregnancy, birth and motherhood - an dof course wanting to share that with women like myself - women like you, and so over the next 6 or so years as my family grew, so too did my offerings and I trained in:
Pregnancy massage & aromatherapy
Rebozo massage
Closing the Bones ritual
Hypnobirthing
Doula support
Pre & postnatal Yoga
Baby massage
Birth Trauma Resolution Therapy
Each new course brining a new level of learning about not only the female anatomy & physiology, but how amazing and sacred women are.
Over the course of the last 8 years, I've brought the offerings together and continued my professional development, qualifying as a yoga teacher (hatha, restorative, yin yoga & menopause yoga) along with sound healing.
Honouring the sacred temple and perhaps most notably my continued dedication to Goddess having trained and initiated as A Priestess of the Lunar Womb, training in the temple arts of yoni steaming & massage, womb massage, womb Reiki and Cacao and Shamanic journeying. My story continues as I grow and evolve and I'm now on a 13 moon spiral as an apprentice Priestess of the Sanctuary of Sophia.
I can't wait to see where this journey takes me...
I wouldn't be where I am today without the tutelage and lineage of some amazing women. Over the course of the past two decades, there have been many. In particular I'd like to give mention to Trudi Holden - Wild Samsara, my Reiki Master, Angie Twydall - The Sanctuary of Sophia, Bliss Magdelena - Stroud Goddess Temple & The Lunar Womb Temple, Sally Parkes Women's Yoga and Natalie ReBastet of Palm & Bowl
I work as inclusively as possible to bring wellbeing to all women.
